Synopsis: We are looking at the trade policies of the United States and how it has changed overtime. We are trying to predict how trade policies will affect the global economy.

Questions:

1) How have the trade policies of the past reflected the economy of today?
A- A lot of countries did not trade in the past because most countries didn't have a lot of items to trade. They did not have a lot of ways to transport the items the were trading either. The United States used to export more items than import. The United States used to trade with all countries, and countries used to trade with us. The United States used to be the top export traders in the world.
2) How have the trade policies changed from the past?
A- The United States used to export more than import, but now we import more than export. We have sent all of our jobs over seas, and we have nothing to export anymore.
3) How do you think the trade policies of the past and present will effect the future?
A- If the United States keeps sending jobs over seas there will not be anymore jobs here for the citizens of the United States. All the other countries will have all of our jobs and money, and our economy will get worse.

Trade has been around for a long time and might be here in the future. Trade is the charitable exchange of services, goods, or both. Planned trade policies are widely used by the United States government. Today we are going to determine how trade policies have been used over time, in the present, and even the future.
First is the trade policies of the past. We are going to look at the trade policies during the nineteenth century. While Europe and other places where for free trade the United States were protectionist. This means the United States believed in fair trade. The US thought keeping out foreign goods would save jobs giving ailing industries a chance to recover, prosper, and this would reduce the trade deficits. This would make since during these days since the northern states had new industries during this time. Soon time changes how they think. By the end of the nineteenth century it was improved transport that increased trade rapidly not liberalization. Even though neither European allies nor the United States would liberalize trade enough to permit the necessary deficits some people still believe liberalization was the cause. In the past trade policies were based on who was allies with who or what religion they were. The United States tried to do the best for their people and work on their policies.
Now we are looking at the present trade policies. Today we trade because we rely on the raw material imports to help us with our finished exports. Because of the significance for American economy and industry, much weight has been placed on trade policy by elected officials and business leaders. The U.S. has a regulation of international trade and these control the power over the imposition of tariffs. But it is clear Americans do not oppose to the policy of trade. Unlike in the past the United States now trades with many more countries. We do not have policies that are so ratonial. They are all in depth and logical. For example, now we trade with China. In the past the U.S. did not, but now they do. One main reason is that they have good products and it foms a bond.
Next, we are looking at the trade policies of the future. In order to continue trade we need to look at the downside of trade and fix the problem to our best ability. One examle of this is that by the United States is having so much tradeing going on in other countries. This is a problem because American's jobs are being transferred to these locations. With thier jobs moving over seas we are losing not only people but job oppertunities In the US. So all of the other countries will have our money and jobs, letting America's economy get worse. In the future we can avoid this by strengthening our trade policies. We do need to trade but just make sure that it is a benefit for the US. And make sure we are not losing people's jobs.
In conclusion, tradeing policies are a very important part of history and life. Without trade policies we would have an even worse economy. In order to protect our future we should over look our trade policies and improvise them to fit our benefit for the United States. Today we doing very well trading with others and this is something to be proud of. Understanding trade polices of the past and present help us to know how we have grown economicaly.
